Just a side note, my tree planting buddy Jaimie, has left ATL, landed in D.C. and is spending her time scoring free food, interviewing magistrate judges and other wonderful baby attorney things. Congrats on passing the bar Jaime!!

Saturday morning was a little chilly but it warmed up nicely. After the demo, Rebecca and I set out to find the perfect tree to kick off our tree planting season. It didn't take us long to find an awesome Tulip Poplar! Since Tulip Poplars are my favorite trees, I was extra excited about it.
The planting wasn't too bad one this one. Just a few rocks and we found someone's tiled floor from years ago which was kinda cool.
After that one, we headed up to a hill and tackled a Princeton Elm. That planting location had lots of rocks. Rebecca referred to one as a boulder. I got to use a maddox, which didn't do anything, but I looked tough swinging it.
We finally cleared enough rocks and dirt to give the Elm a happy home.

Then we drove a few blocks over into a neighborhood and started planting along the sidewalks.
We picked a Crape Myrtle. This was our last planting of the day and thankfully it was a lot less rocky than the other two locations.
It's great to be planting again!
