10th Planting

This week we planted in the Highlands near Inman Middle School. It was a little chilly and a little drizzly.

Rebecca and I started off with the group and we planted an Oak of some type. We got some help from another volunteer.

I learned what a Winged Elm looked like. It’s a very interesting looking tree.

Rebecca and I were then transported many blocks away to a quiet street that had 6 trees to be planted. We planted two Serviceberrys on either side of a cluster of daffodils, which happen to be my favorite flowers. That made for pleasant planting.

Then we moved down the street a bit and planted a 3rd serviceberry. We had to move the hole because of a few giant roots that we hit.

We got to enjoy the view of Midtown while waiting on the calvery to pick us up.

This week I found a quarter.
